best laid plans

I spent the last couple of days fixing computers and offloading much of what is on my hard drave on to CDs... unfortunately, that meant I could not do anything else, like update, because the computer is older than sliced bread (yes, of course metaphorically) and does not have the power or memory to handle much more than a notepad file open when the CD program is open... even when nothing is open, the CD program will crash the system after an hour or two...

so that's where I've been, fixing our home network connection (which went out on my roommates computers because of something they did) and then finally clearing some hard drive space on my old machine (cuz I've been putting it off for way too long and the drive was choking)...

coming here in RealTime™ has not exactly worked out as I intended mostly because it's not part of my daily habits yet (and not being connected the last two days, as you may have heard somewhere already)... but I am currently listening to old show tunes and surfing blogmad, where they apparently hate poetry... I don't know how they feel about old show tunes, but as an ancient creature of theatre, I love them... new show tunes too...

I babbled a bit over at my diary, in case you are already addicted and can't get enough of my incessent ramblings... also, you should join blogmad if you haven't already if you want to chat in even more RealTime™ than this...
