they are out there
so now that we know the set up, let’s see what profound secrets we can learn about me by eavesdropping on my candid comments tonight... in reading this entry tonight, the following thoughts came to mind and promptly fell out like this:
your dream brought back a memory of a book called Johnny Got His Gun and the thought that a stroke could do that and what a test of imagination and ego that would be, to have consciousness and no communication or feedback...
I don't think it matters if a thought is original or not, what matters is that, if it is the first time you are thinking it, the thought is original to you...
then what you do with the thought might be original...
maybe Thoreau was lucky to have so much time to think, maybe we'd all come to similar thoughts if we did not have the distractions of daily work, life, and survival... it's nice to be higher up on Maslow's pyramid, not original, but still pretty rare in our modern Western world...
I think it's a little sad to think that to truly understand something like life or nature, one must detach and no longer be much of an active part of it...
if you have fewer expectations, you'll find fewer disappointments and doubts...
enjoy yourself, it makes everything better.
and in the entry that spawned such thoughts, a certain chakra test was presented and so, being curious and playful, I took the test several times... these were the results:
Root: open (69%)
Sacral: open (63%)
Navel: over-active (88%)
Heart: open (69%)
Throat: over-active (81%)
Third Eye: open (69%)
Crown: open (63%)
Root: open (63%)

Heart: over-active (75%)

what it means is open to interpretation and I suppose if I was in a different mood I would have different results (higher in the middle three, I would guess), but I’ll accept the last one as the me I know as me at the moment... do you know any more about me now?...
and as if that wasn’t enough, I almost watched the video in this entry and did read most of the comments (though lost interest when it turned into too many Christians testifying instead of people actually attempting intelligent discussion) and found myself responding to the following comment:
Okay, let's get this straight: Any philosophy, ideology, religion or even any club membership-- in short, anything that creates an us... creates a THEM, and with that creation comes the invitation to anti-THEM-ism. Religion is no different than nationalism, imperialism, communism, capitalism or any other "ism" except in their scope.
Of course the great temptation for anyone on the dias is to start shouting about the "others" because it's the best and easiest way to hold the floor. What was Joseph MaCarthy's point? "The Commies are everywhere!" When in point of fact they were no where, however, it did get him re-elected and appointed to a very high profile committee: The Committee on UnAmerican Activities. Was this religious, no, it was political.

with this:
so we can look to humanism, but then, we alienate the aliens who, odds are, are out there, even if we are not aware...
so we can look to universalism until we find out there are other universes...
so we can look to oneism, but then, will we balance it between the forming of an individual as a one and the forming of an all-encompasing 'everything' as a one, cuz if we don't it'll fail like all the other attempts at isms...
I think we keep trying isms because we want to belong, feel together, explain how and where and where we can come together...
maybe we should just start being together and stop all the thinking and defining and explaining...
beism, I like that...
for now :}

and that’s what happened after a nap, after work, today... Precious is healing, though one burn is showing slight infection... they were holding roman candles and aiming them at things and apparently, standing right next to the things they were aiming at and one shot bounced on to Precious’s chest and neck... I’m still not sure if they realize how close to being blinded she was... or having one blow up in their hands... starting a fire... aiming roman candles at things... and they continued playing this game after the ‘accident’... IB honor students of Florida... what a culture, aye?...
and that's some of life in RealTime™ tonight... are we having fun? :)
