they are out there
so now that we know the set up, let’s see what profound secrets we can learn about me by eavesdropping on my candid comments tonight... in reading this entry tonight, the following thoughts came to mind and promptly fell out like this:
your dream brought back a memory of a book called Johnny Got His Gun and the thought that a stroke could do that and what a test of imagination and ego that would be, to have consciousness and no communication or feedback...
I don't think it matters if a thought is original or not, what matters is that, if it is the first time you are thinking it, the thought is original to you...
then what you do with the thought might be original...
maybe Thoreau was lucky to have so much time to think, maybe we'd all come to similar thoughts if we did not have the distractions of daily work, life, and survival... it's nice to be higher up on Maslow's pyramid, not original, but still pretty rare in our modern Western world...
I think it's a little sad to think that to truly understand something like life or nature, one must detach and no longer be much of an active part of it...
if you have fewer expectations, you'll find fewer disappointments and doubts...
enjoy yourself, it makes everything better.
and in the entry that spawned such thoughts, a certain chakra test was presented and so, being curious and playful, I took the test several times... these were the results:
Root: open (69%)
Sacral: open (63%)
Navel: over-active (88%)
Heart: open (69%)
Throat: over-active (81%)
Third Eye: open (69%)
Crown: open (63%)
Root: open (63%)
Sacral: open (69%)
Navel: open (63%)
Heart: over-active (75%)
Throat: open (69%)
Third Eye: open (63%)
Crown: open (63%)
Root: open (63%)
Sacral: open (69%)

Throat: open (69%)
Third Eye: open (63%)

Crown: open (69%)
what it means is open to interpretation and I suppose if I was in a different mood I would have different results (higher in the middle three, I would guess), but I’ll accept the last one as the me I know as me at the moment... do you know any more about me now?...
and as if that wasn’t enough, I almost watched the video in this entry and did read most of the comments (though lost interest when it turned into too many Christians testifying instead of people actually attempting intelligent discussion) and found myself responding to the following comment:
Okay, let's get this straight: Any philosophy, ideology, religion or even any club membership-- in short, anything that creates an us... creates a THEM, and with that creation comes the invitation to anti-THEM-ism. Religion is no different than nationalism, imperialism, communism, capitalism or any other "ism" except in their scope.
Of course the great temptation for anyone on the dias is to start shouting about the "others" because it's the best and easiest way to hold the floor. What was Joseph MaCarthy's point? "The Commies are everywhere!" When in point of fact they were no where, however, it did get him re-elected and appointed to a very high profile committee: The Committee on UnAmerican Activities. Was this religious, no, it was political.

with this:
so we can look to humanism, but then, we alienate the aliens who, odds are, are out there, even if we are not aware...
so we can look to universalism until we find out there are other universes...
so we can look to oneism, but then, will we balance it between the forming of an individual as a one and the forming of an all-encompasing 'everything' as a one, cuz if we don't it'll fail like all the other attempts at isms...
I think we keep trying isms because we want to belong, feel together, explain how and where and where we can come together...
maybe we should just start being together and stop all the thinking and defining and explaining...
beism, I like that...
for now :}

and that’s what happened after a nap, after work, today... Precious is healing, though one burn is showing slight infection... they were holding roman candles and aiming them at things and apparently, standing right next to the things they were aiming at and one shot bounced on to Precious’s chest and neck... I’m still not sure if they realize how close to being blinded she was... or having one blow up in their hands... starting a fire... aiming roman candles at things... and they continued playing this game after the ‘accident’... IB honor students of Florida... what a culture, aye?...
and that's some of life in RealTime™ tonight... are we having fun? :)

Well that was some cruise for the blogosphere, made the reading more fun clicking on to other sites
Interesting girl jenny from the invisible girl site, doesn't take life or herself too seriouisly
My sort of cuppa tea - lol!
I can see how it led you to the chakras test, I shall not indulge don't want to psyche myself up, nor do I wanna tone my mood down.
Feeling lucky tonite - wink wink!
Anyway hope all goes fine your way, don't forget HollyGL will be popping down your way soon ...
round West Palm Beach somewhere
That explains your finely tuned instincts! Your third eye is open and functioning!
Apparently, Quasar 9 is more aware of my future travel plans than I. Hmmm.
a holy grrl tellin youse gots your 3rd eye open? hoo-hah, better come up with your standard disclaimer & tell her all about my grinchness OR!!!!
ah, yes, we'll start with the innocent victim here, hello holly... welcome to my < strike >own private menagerie< /strike > group of close personal internet friends...
won't that look silly if the strike code doesn't work...
not that I have even shirked my duty to look silly, but that's not saying anything (which is what I tend to do from time to time after time after time)...
z0tl is demonstrating his < strike >enormous compassion and loving heart< /strike > irascible unpredictability (or unpredictable irascibility) and habit of playing the angry ogre by reminding me to warn you that he appears evil at times (he’s not really practicing to be a bitter old man or flesh-eating monster, but don’t tell him I told you that cuz he’ll eat my kidneys) and should only be taken seriously when he is serious (and it takes time to figure that out so most just throw stones first and ask questions later)... don’t tell him I love him either, because I am kind of fond of my liver...
Q you apparently know before visiting here and while he is not quite the Q of Star Trek, he is more playful than a bag of cats and may be misunderstood because of the language barrier (there’s a rumour that he’s British)...
Serenity doesn’t visit enough, probably because she knows I love to tease her about not visiting enough... yes, my friends love to please me and I love to tease them and somehow we’ve found an odd symbiosis online...
eric d recently risked his sanity and immortal soul by voicing a presence here and I understand he gives good CPR, but we’ve hardly been properly introduced so I wouldn’t know (I don’t kiss on the first date)...
everybody else who may or not be out there is mostly silent for their own reasons, not the least of which might be my habit of introducing people like this... ah, irreverence is home and few wish to live there, or acknowledge visiting, even... it’s way too much fun for me though, so feel free to jump in the pool and splash anyone you’d like, or don’t like... everyone is likeable to me, though some might require years of curing and tenderizing before they can be tolerated... I suppose that would include me, since I am practicing being human myself...
and there you are, properly introduced and welcomed...
welcome holly!
well, now you are :)
hope you all have a wonderful evening, in spite of me :)
Yeah, I thought long and hard about posting a snide retort, but - being a "holy grrl" and all - I just said a couple Hail Marys and How's Your Father's, considered the source, and left it at that. Hope you're well. :)
p.s. Yes, I realize now that Q9 is all about play, but I love him anyway - at a safe distance. ;)
