dang, forgot a title again

as the mars volta carry this really distorted distended (and bloated) body across the cd cover (not to mention fill the ears with stimulation) and papaya slithers down the esophagus, another strange and wonderful night begins midstream with our hero waking after turning in early as the body requested and oooo, the feeling is almost just right (if only the bloat was not so ever present, aye?) and so much better than the average 2am stumble out of the typical night spot with nothing but a soon to be pounding head to keep you company as you hope for a few hours sleep before the rush of the normal daily routine... well, you don't know what you're missing in the never ending time traveling life you're missing, but i'm here to tell you all about it for posterity's sake, cuz posterity cares, you know that don't you?... just look at how it's taken care of the greeks and romans and jesus, yup, posterity cares about the people who write a lot... or people who have a lot written about them... yeah, that's it, posterity cares about the words... hey, i care about words... me and posterity have a lot in common...

nobody knows we're there (oooo, slipped that one right by you, aye?)...

if you are wondering what, or why, or where and when, even, no worries, we'll be on to a completely different irreverent and confusing series of almost topics any moment now and you can relieve yourself as you please during the intermission... so starting off in the real, or at least stepping closer to it with these words, another day at the workplace and accomplishments galore, though still not as much as if i had a laptop there, so their loss cuz my productivity goes down every month (and everybody thinks it's going up and tells me to tone it down, streamline, and all that great supportive encouragement most misunderstood geniuses get... see, i've laid a lot of groundwork with spreadsheets and databases and can spit out reports that baffle just about everybody, so they think i'm doing a lot of work, and i am, but just not what i could be doing in less time...

and i'm getting two part time assistants trained in dazzling fashion (they are training each other) while i am doing the meetings and fancy dancing and enjoying the autonomy and growing respect, however begrudgingly given, and don't look now, but tomorrow i just may rock the boat just to see who stands up and points fingers at who should be the first to fall out (you do see the irony of standing up and getting over-excited in a boat already rocking, don'tcha?).... people really do not understand the humor of irreverence too well, especially when they are afraid of their shadows, as so many are... shadows can be so amusing, if they only knew...

so anyway, i hope you shared a good night with someone you love and if not, well, i hope you prefer to sleep alone and if not, well, i hope you find someone you are comfortable sleeping with soon, and if not, i hope you made the best of your love, your dreams, and your time alone...

so what can we say about all the words poured out all over the place without any real focus or drive (yes, even if you found all twenty or so entries sprinkled all about the web, from my perspective it was a lazy babbler and only semi-motivated muse this weekend, certainly not any level of excitement to write home about, but then, there's been no home for so long, and that was just imaginary when it did exist for real, get it?... yes, i must say (without the alfalfa hair-do or waggle in the wiggle, this weekend cuz of all the interruptions, but at least the brain has a little more room for the rest of the week or so and hopefully i'll find either the person who can take a mind-meld (which is so much more effective and more fun than a mind dump) or i will find time for an even better mind dump real soon (cuz a constipated mind is a stinky think to waste)... historically (and hysterically), december has always been a good month for the babbler (and the heart of the matter), though i must make time as activities are too readily available if i do not get a little selfish with my me time, ya know?...

i leave you with lots of words for you to catch up on in at least a dozen different places and even more pages, if you find the time... if not, maybe next life... and if you happen to bump into someone who you might think can keep up with me and is crazy enough to be kind of compatible with me, do give them my number... listening to the music, the sheer diversity suggests that there must be somebody out there who has similar enough genes and physical development and mental capitulators and emotional capacitators and thereal connections and the rest of whatever is needed to relate and bond with me, wherever i may be... and while i am not one to invest everything in any one rationality (no less logic), except, of course, love, which may or may not be a dichotomy or hypocritical oath, i embrace the delights and divines and de dreams that the monsters of the board rooms may never understand... so please take much thanks and love and wonderfulness and make the same and more today in your world :)

yes, i should, and yes, i am talking to myself more these days, but only rarely is it noticed because i do is so discreetly and all...

it's 4:16am om Monday morning and i have consumed four dinners (Yellow Dog Eats for dinner buffer and wine tasting party on Friday evening, Broadway Pizza for eggplant parm at about 2am Saturday morning, Olympia for Greek complete with interactive belly dancing on Saturday night, and Golden Corral with Rasputin Sunday evening), watched two concerts (Nada Surf in-store at Park Ave CDs and Nada Surf with Band Marino and another band at The Social), pitched for two hours and ran around in 90+ sunshine sometime Saturday morning, set my fantasy teams, watched some softball, and went in to work for a couple of hours on each day (cuz i was on-call)...

if i forgot something, see my calendar (linked on the right)... if i forgot to put it on my calendar, feel free to call and interrogate me, but you'll probably have to remind me as i probably forgot cuz i burnt out more brain cells...

one of the most fun weekends for me (except for blogger/google doing it's shut me out thing for a bit) because of the diversity of events and stimuli and food and people and fun... all that could have made it better (you know what's coming) is the one or a best friend or at least some wild passionate sex... there was some wild goofy belly dancing though, but that wasn't the same...

tomorrow (or actually, in a few hours) another month starts at work and the crunch to get all the numbers crunched and reports produced and so on begins and yet, there's dinner and a compedy improve show scheduled for tomorrow (tonight) too...

if i don't bump into the one out there before i die, at least i will die having more fun than humanly possible and that's the second best life i can imagine, so no complaints and much yays and laughter and optimism and silliness and serious fun...

it's all greek to me

in spite of the world, wonderfulness pours from every pore... even as I bloat up a bit and heave a sign of stupidity (not unlike Homer Simpson) and in spite of this MS Word program constantly resetting the options and features I choose, peaceful bliss oozes up from deep within... technology is obnoxious, paranoia is all around, prejudice and fear is sold like cough medicine to people convince theymust have some even though they haven't coughed in years, but I am incorrigible...

even as Rasputin farts profusely within ten seconds of sitting on the couch about ten feet away... why he finds it so challenging to go the bathroom when he wakes up is a mystery for the ages, but it's possible he knows he will fall asleep and might hurt himself falling off the seat...

shhhh, it's not nice to laugh...

I look around at the space, naaaa, I'll look around tomorrow, maybe, or yesterday... in fact, come back tomorrow for yesterday's entry... for today, sort of, let's focus on what I was going to tell you yesterday, but fell asleep instead...

I've been exploring and joining up all over meetup the past few days (except for the sleep I think I got last night and working the past two days) and the initial idealistic optimism is settling back into a more realistic acceptance that the sit did not change all that much from when I remember it... large groups with few participants and many seeking to make money off other's interests, neediness, gullibility, and loneliness... much like life...

I haven't been over to myspace for a while, but recently Cali decided I must be Greek... this is a decision I can accept gleefully, especially after skÿeism™ (another wonderful spirit floating about myspace) suggested that I may be a Zorba and in the Osho philosophy, I'll quote:

cool, aye?... after all, why do you think just about everything (mostly) we know as a way of life, as a right and wrong, as an ethic or value, as a system of government, as a human species, can trace it's roots back to the writings of the Greeks three thousand or more years ago... yeah, I decided it was cool to be Greek...

not that it changes anything or matters all that much... being mostly an alien in many ways, after all, my attempts to be human are relatively futile and mostly amusing (or pathetic, depending on your point of view)... and being adopted without any known biological history, heritage is like horoscopes, guesswork... I have few clues... one clue is a name, Lanza, which was supposedly the last name of the woman who let me gestate in her womb... I learned that long after I accepted being unknown and learning to love it, so it made little impact on me... another clue is that a few years ago the doctor told me that I have a genetic marker in my blood that strongly suggests my genes came from the Mediterranean... again, so? was my general reaction...

but Zorba the Buddha?...

now that’s a reason to declare my Greekness...
