maybe I can be a healthy couch potato
they key is focusing on myself because those around me are not any sort of help in any sort of healthy living plan... my choices are not their fault... I can do it all by myself even when everybody around me is going in the opposite direction and encouraging me to follow... I know what is right for me... I can do it... cuz I'm good enough and smart enough and gosh darn it, I like me...
people can go their own way (go their own way) and there ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe (it don't matter anyhow)... I can rise against the machine made culture and remember what goes into process foods and let the knowledge turn my stomach... I can look at meat and see cow-eyes, doe-eyes, and a pig bathing in it's own muddy excrement... I can remember that cheese is cow fat... and ice cream is cow fat... and chocolate is... wait a minute now, we don't have to be perfect... but I can remember I am what I eat and imagine what it would be like to live inside of a can for years...
yay the practical philosopher vegetarian...
laughing all the way, but maybe making a dent in the ruling class of taste buds that have reigned over this body for more than a few years... now if I can just fall in love with a quasi-vegetarian who has a warped sense of humor and skewed perspective like mine, I'll be just fine...
life can be so much fun in my head J

Life IS so much fun in our heads, isn't it?
I'm afraid I've fallen down a bit myself in the diet arena, because I need to gain some weight...yes, I know....no one needs to gain weight...but I do, and so I so kind of have to shamefully admit to some of the stuff you list, and that isn't good. But how else do you gain weight? ;)
I know I'll never be a full vegetarian (mostly vegetarian though cuz that just feels better all the way around), but I think I've finally reconciled that at least some animal protein is gonna be part of the diet. Ah well, we can't all be perfect.
My t.v. habits took some sort of radical shift. Sci Fi Channel, Turner Classic Movies (cuz I guess I'm the only person online who seems to love old movies), and on occasion The History Channel...and that's it...other than my DVD collection of The Twilight Zone and the occasional rental.
Why am I rambling on like this is MY Real Time blog?
lol!! Have a wonderful, wonderful night :)
I'm out the door... got nice sleep... I love old movies, but dispise what Turner does to them... he and his people edit to their liking or moral values or whatever criteria they use and destroy the original story, not to mention any art the director and crew put into it... one of my biggest peeves is the Turnerization of film... and he owns Sci-Fi and so many stations the effect can be seen too much on the tube... and I won't even get started on how many commercials he adds (more than most), which is another reason the films are edited so poorly... I try not to watch a Turner station, though there's only one Sci-Fi channel... and now that I've ranted briefly about ol' Ted and his lack of art or class or respect, hi ho hi ho :)
How weird because when I watch TCM, there aren't any commercials. I didn't know they edited movies either; I've never noticed that with my favorites, and now I'm gonna have to turn a more attentive eye to that.
:( I'm disappointed.
But then of course I tend to be so ignorant on stuff like this. Head too much in the clouds I guess.
hihohihohiho
