football and food

thanks to Rasputin, who is way more traditional than I ever was, there was turkey and the usual side dishes on the table today... maybe the first time this year that the table has been completely cleared and we shared a meal there in (we usually eat in the living room in front of the TV)... and Code Red... and chocolate cream pie... and I decided to add chips and pretzels... so much for leaving all the cupcakes and cool whip at work so I wouldn’t pig out at home... left to my own devices, I’d have probably fasted today, but I am so not driving my life these days... it’s lots of fun, actually, as long as I don’t ask this body to do much...

and I wonder why I am not finding a relationship?...

this has been one wonderfully relaxing day glancing at the TV for the sports scores and rambling on and off at the computer and listening to music and talking with roommates and mostly just sitting around relaxing... the mind is a wonderful thing to wandering aimlessly around in from time to time (and such a luxury... I have four days off in a row and this is just day one and I don’t know what to do with myself...

I thought about a trip up to north Florida because Precious’s mother suddenly appeared in the state and her step-brother text messaged her that they are here, but they don’t want to make one of the trips and Rasputin must work this weekend and does not want to spend the money on two six hour drives (with just fast food, at least $100 with tolls) and I don’t feel like spending that either... if they’d have given some notice we might have arranged some time... Precious is ok with it, she’d rather hang out with her friends anyway... to be real, her regret is she won’t get to go shopping with them and have new clothes until Christmas...

she just texted to ask if I wanted to see V for Vendetta and I said yes... so her and her friend are coming back here with snacks and V for Vendetta cuz her friend )... so that will be our evening... we do have all the cable channels free and there are some great movies on White Christmas, Finding Neverland, Great Expectations, City of Angels, The Audrey Hepburn Story, 200 Cigarettes, Pretty Woman and at least a dozen others I'd have in my collection if I didn't already have them in storage), but I've wanted to see V for Vendetta ...

and it's time for the movies now so I hope you are loving your day and making love to your evening and I'll be back around somewhere sometimes soon...
