happy 42

while many around me celebrate the 4th of July, I celebrate the coming of entry 42 because, well, I am an alien... not to knock the freedom and independence that is somewhere under all the rhetoric and macho posturing and bombs bursting in air, cuz I believe in the ideals that I read in the original texts written by many of those who are called founders of the U.S.A.... I just celebrate things that I want to be part of every day every day, like birthdays and relationships and love...

what is unique is the fact that this is the 42 entry and this will be the only 42nd entry this blog will see... probably... so happy 42nd, dear blog, maybe it be fun...

I wonder if Douglas had considered that 42nd Street is one of the most famous (and infamous) streets in the world when he discovered that 42 is the answer to the ultimate question... the street itself represents the epitome of the hypocrisy of our culture, as do the sell-out music stars on the TV Award shows (that are on TV at the moment as Precious controls the remote these days cuz I love music more than old sit-com reruns so Rasputin is out-voted 2 to 1) and the saddest thing is how well most people buy into ignoring the bigger picture (what?... spoiled rich kids and wanna-bees seeing anything other than their bling?) so that momentary gratification can rule the day, but that's besides the point...

so anyway, I slept...
