why work?
Berry should be at the airport now, dealing with the orange crush or code orange or orange alert or whatever is happening in the world today... just ask Smed...if I ever was going to grow up, I'd probably want to be Smed... as it is, I try not to watch or hear the news of the world... I like the world better that way...
hopefully Berry will have a good flight home... Bert joins her at the end of the month... two of my few local friends will be living about three thousand five hundred miles away... a couple of hours north of Seattle... alas, nobody seem to stay in one place anymore... I used to be like that... they called me the wanderer... hear the music?...
we had breakfast just before she left for the airport... Bert was asleep cuz he has to work a double shift starting at 3(pm)... I only worked a shift and a half today... one would think I'd be piling up savings, but the outgo is higher than the income (that is wallet-speak), so I'm just another rat in the maze... a working stiff about to fall over again because I don't have a good enough reason to skip another afternoon's sleep...
Berry says they pay better and she lives better up there... and people seem less stressed... sad (or funny), I moved down here back in the day when the cost of living in this area was much lower than the north... did I call this place paradise?...
I am so tired of money...
anybody know a good commune looking for some new blood?... no really, I may be laughing, but who's kidding?... yeah, I know, I'll be staying here at least another year, but that's just a year away... and speaking of Precious, her throat hurts again... she texted me from school for some TLC... I called Rasputin to put the idea of taking her to the doctor this afternoon in her head... she still has her tonsils and gets a sore throat a few times a year, at least... last time it was strep... and mono... hopefully it's neither this time...
I'm gonna fall over into the big green chair now... that way I can nap and still hear Precious when she gets home... hope you are loving your life (even if it's full of work... hopefully you love your work as much as I love mine... I'd trade it for a few years vacation with the one, of course)...
thanks for being here J

If you find a good commune, let me know :)
Maybe we should start one up in Florida. What you say!
