a wonderful night
of course my legs wouldn't be quite so rubbery (and I'd have bounced around even more) if I got more than four hours sleep last night (and it would be wise to get some tonight), but heck, who's counting... and rubbery legs are quite fun if you don't fall down too hard...
in any case, as you see, we're home a bit earlier than expected and so there's a bit of time for the web while listening to magnifiscent Meg and adorable Dia and glancing up at the muted baseball playoffs... I really haven't fell in love with a voice quite this obsessively since... ummm, I'll have to ponder that, but this ranks up there with the most wonderful adorations and stimulations by a voice in this life... you can find some of the other voices who've reached me this way over in the aural section of Libboland (I know, it's not one of the branches off the tree of madness on the right, but it {Libboland} is a subsection of bios {and some of the voices that reach me is a subsection of Libboland} and bios is one of the branches listed, so it actually is listed, just not as subdivided as say, crossroads {the site map of the written gardens} might be... there's actually a lot not linked here, but who has time for it all, after all)...
and the music and words Meg creates (at least I think it's mostly Meg writing the songs) draws my mind to them even more... though I recently heard Kenji, the very excellent guitar player (with Meg, who also plays guitar), is leaving the group mid-tour, which is not a good sign (at least finish the tour?), to do something solo or with others... too soon, I say, he might end up like what's his name, the drummer that left the Beatles and was replaced by Ringo Starr... he was Pete Best, but only Beatles trivia nuts might know his name...
actually Kenji is good, a loss all around, I'd say...
oh, and Mega and Dia the new Beatles?... stranger things have happened... they have a very similar quality, though it would reverse genders and MaD have much deeper and more literary initial songs... anyway, I really did not come here to ramble on about MaD (Meg and Dia) tonight, so I'll save that for another time and place (or times and places, if they don't mind)... after all (follow the logic here now), I am not a monogamous obsessor (which is why I'd make such a bad stalker... I mean, picture a stalker with ADD... in the middle of setting off to follow one obsession, another comes along and leads the poor ADD-addled stalker in another direction... he'd be tossed out of the stalkers union, ya know)...
so yes, I'll introduce my latest momentary obsession (hey, the wow-meter rang up so high she was instantly added to the genius section of the links on the right along with my other momentary inspirations {an obsession gains inspiration status when it sticks around a while, in case you wondered... then it [the label, in case you weren't following] moves to folly or friend or both, hence the title for that link section, in case you wondered even more}, ok?... so let's not let the fact that it is momentary degrade the obsession just yet)... perhaps this is not the most poignant time to mention that I updated the onion blog (linked on the right) with two new posts?...
suddenly leaping back to introducing my latest momentary obsession and hopefully soon to be inspiration, I dub her brie*ness, cuz she has this aura in her web presense in words and images, in thoughts and feelings, that deserves some sort of honor and respect... at once cute and enlightening, raw and beautiful, light and heavy... so yay for finding another light and may we all shine on (like the moon and the stars and the sun and the songs that remind us)...
did I mention I got a message from Meg (yes, I mean the Meg, magical half of Meg and Dia... Dia's the dreamy half, ok?... illiteration plays a role there, but it's not inaccurate) at myspace?... shhh, it's not gonna go to my head, really, it's not... but I did have to mention it, huh?... well, maybe it'll go to my head a little...
hope you had as wonderful a night as me J
