once last time, we hope

alas, the internet connection is weak and downloading large mail is very slow, downloading mp3s is hours, and downloading everything takes forever... speaking of everything takes forever, go check out Tom Hanson... if you do not love his music, you are not nearly as into haunting music as you thought you were... and while i am having some challenges hearing all the lyrics because my speakers have too much bass and he is very whispery at times, i am very much wanting to hear all the words and get that slight sense that he could be providing some background music for the story of my life, which hasn't happened in a while... i mean, a song or some phrases/lyrics have been added to the soundtrack now and then, thatb always happens, but a whole cd and artist has not intrigued me like tom has since, well.. i'd have to ponder the influences for that one... i don't know if this cd will reach the plateaus that some sit at in my musical influence or soundtrack artist heirarchy, but i feel shades of top fifty and slight hints of top twenty, which is profound...

anyway, i am discovering that i cannot download mail or browse the web while downloading mp3s on this att aircard connection... apparently time of day matters a lot as in the middle of the night i have much faster browsing speeds, but mid afternoon is sucks big time even with three bars... not enough bandwidth, i suppose, or some such technical inadequacy... so ok, i didn't call the exclusive orlando phone company to see how much they charge for internet or how fast their speeds are and whether i can have a trial period or not, so monday, must call monday... and after the four mp3s i am downloaded are downloaded, if they complete, i'll take a break from downloading the Tom Hanson mp3s and see if i can search for it (the phone company)... meanwhile, i'll try not to grumble too much about the ridiculously useless for downloading big stuff connection i now have...

well, the four files jammed and i had to turn the att connection software off to get reconnected and now i am waiting for a google map to download... minutes go by... and more minutes... meanwhile, before i searched for where precious lives cuz i'm going to pick her up later, i checked out the phone comapny website... kind of small, to say the least... and they promise DSL with speeds of up to 1.5mbps... do they know that they are years behind the times?... basic DSL?... i really should have explored this particular detail much more before choosing a place to live... next year, for sure... and they give no pricing or any other information on their website, bad sign... and then they are only open 8-5 monday through friday... and if they are claiming it is DSL, then they will charge for the phone lines too cuz DSL comes in through the phone lines... so tv is offered through DISH network, completely separate... and to open the "packages" (which still may not tell any real info, like real costs), i need excel, which i do not have on this laptop, so... monday... if i remember...

any way i look at it i seemed doomed to slow internet which puts me back in the stone ages and turns off the progress i was making toward adding music, video, and creative stuff to the websites and my life... so i'll just have to do it offline and put the webworld exploration and expansion on hold for a year... gonna take a shower now cuz raspy should call in forty minutes to meet at precious' place... later, i hope to find a an adjustment that puts an end to the griping about the internet connection and probably illegal monopoly the local phone company has over my choices as a consumer cuz it'll be a long year if this post is repeated daily :}

but then, it's just a blog entry and as the sheer brilliance of every utterance of the previous post was totally overlooked, so feel much more free to overlook this one even more (nyuk nyuk naa naa na na naa :)
