and I thought I was tired
and my clothes look like I jumped into a pool fully dressed... overheating, dehydrating, pushing the last ounces of energy out of the body, great way to fight off a cold bug, aye?... then out into the brisk night are... must be in the sixties tonight, maybe even the fifties... felt great, but of course it's not the best thing for the immune system stressing the body to it's limits... and I point all this out so I can beam about how healthy this body is tomorrow when I wake up and feel the cold germs have gained no ground (or I'll lament over the aging process if the cold germs have gotten stronger, but shhh, think positive)...
great concert (alas, nobody came out to collect the free tickets... I know, it was very short notice, but until 2pm today I had no idea Precious and her friends were not going... I suppose this is a bit of that goes around comes around thing since I've spent hundreds of dollars in the last six months on concert tickets for her and when she got free tickets to this one she didn't have the guts {or thoughtfulness} to ask for one more for me... but I won't rub it in {much} cuz she was really bummed that she is missing three concerts she really wanted to see because of the Fall play at her school... hey, sometimes we have to choose between the fun as I did last week when I chose to see 30 Seconds to MArs over the Local bands festival)...
rambling, am I?... well, great concert... Jake's Mannequin is a straight forward rock band and opened to a crowd familiar with their sound... Bloc Party had a semi-reggae souls sound to their rock that was a great gear shift... Panic is what we used to call glam rock, kind of a kinky Kinks, if you understand the reference... they put on a circus-like stage show with chorus girls, a guy on stilts, a gay crotch grunding clown guy, and almost skit-like acts for most of their songs... they could have played a little longer, but the crowd was so used up by their last song nobody screamed for an encore (except me a few times, but the crowd seemed happy to head for the exits... Orlando, everyone is so Disneyfied, almost zombie-like at times)...
I wonder if they'll be the same for hometown heros Dashboard Confessional on Saturday night... I hope to pick up a ticket to that show before Saturday... alas, all my subtle hunts to Precious about asking her other best friend who would do anything for her to get a freebie seem to fall on deaf ears, so I'll pop for the $35 or so...
I have two extra tickets to the Friday night show, come to think of it... HelloGoodbye, Reggie and the Full Effect, Cute is What We Aim For, Dave Melillo at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney... dors open 6pm, concert starts 7pm... you out there, Orlando?...
I didn't eat dinner either, so I am running on body fat (is it starve a fever, feed a cold or starve a cold and feed a fever?... I always forget... hopefully it's starve a cold cuz thats what I'm inadvertently doing)... no worries, I have plenty enough body fat to skip a meal (in fact, skipping a dozen meals would help get me back on the weight loss track, but I doubt I'll be fasting this weekend what with all the running around I've got hooked up for myself) and I eat vitamins and assorted healthy pills... refilling the water reservior though, that's for sure...
so I had a great night with strangers and don't feel the old lament over loneliness song playing either... I shot some pictures with the camera phone, but the crowd was seldom still and so the camera was seldom still so few, if any, look great...
so whether taking your life to the limit or relaxing, I hope you are enjoying everything you do... life is much more fun that way :)
