Thursday brings normalcy

at the last minute Precious finds an extra ticket available for her Seniors awards dinner at a local hotel and invites me... I think I had originally said I wasn't going because of my chosen dietry restrictions, but I changed my mind... at the last minute, Rasputin decides he's not going because he's feeling poorly and needs sleep... more on that 'tomorrow'...

so we head to the fancy awards dinner and there's actual real food, including chocolate mousse deserts... I had delicious chicken and salmon and potatoes and veggies and more (no bread or sugared drink) and then... a slice of apple pie with whipped cream and two slices of chocolate mousse pie... dietary normalcy, I almost forget what it tasted like... yum...

and the awards ceremony following the dinner was fun, amusing roast by the kids and scholarships given and lots of applause... the social life of high school is so rarely repeated in life, and so very full of potential... getting home late and being distracted, I don't recall if I made it to the gym and I wandered myspace as I fell asleep cuz I had work and a concert planned for Friday...
