sleeping in my dreams
since I got one hour of light sleep yesterday and have to be at work at 7:30am tomorrow to do a training for nurses, I should be asleep by now… I almost was, then I woke and ate and then watched some Enterprise and then Heroes and something called Journeyman is on now and here we are… I travelled some web ways earlier while watching the shows, visited meet-up, joined more groups, and even sent an email to a few people… maybe I'll even find motivation… can anyone be that stubborn?...
oh, did I mention I have tickets to a concert for tomorrow night and I am pushing my brain power all day at work to get a report done that really ought to be completely reformatted and rewritten, but I don't want to take the time cuz it was due last week?... was that really a question?... was that?...… is this?... yeah, and the TV warns us about priapism… whata world…
speaking of cheerleaders and spilling seeds, I'm a firm believer in the adage about usage, that is, if you don't use it, you lose it… and of course we're talking about rights, right?... even if the phrase is a might flexible… no, but speaking of cheerleaders, did you ever notice that the star of Heroes looks a lot like the star of Legally Blonde, The Musical… we watched it on MTV last night… did I mention it?...
am I still awake?...
I appreciate you being here with me when I get back here and find your words is feels like you are here with me even if you don't say much… speaking of Linux, does it have a cool word processing program and office suite with spreadsheet and database and an email program that sorts well and blocks SPAM and cool audio and video software and editing and recording software and fun games like NCAA 2008 from EA Sports or others and security and fun and does it bake and print dollars?... ok, so it doesn't have to bake, I can buy cookies…
mmmmm, chocolate chip…
but where do I get software?... free software?... I think it's time to stop typing and fall over… I hope you are enjoying a wonderful night…

yes man, full emulation of microsoft office is FREE for linux (think it's called (Open Office), photoshop is GIMP (also free), email is THUNDERBIRD. everything is FREE.
i dunno, wiki open source linux software or something, here i googled and about came up.
actually, i think i'll load linux on my intel based macbook if i can figure out parallels or something which is software that lets me run multiple OS-es, because i think at work i'll have to soon manage Linux boxes, so...
anyway, it's harder to get installed, etc, but there's shit out there to do anything and it's all free. legally and forever.
I want to try it out before I give up the XP, so I need a dual OS thing too... I'll have to check out music and video software too... I actually like Office 2007 and Windows Media Player 11, but if other software does the same thing without the Microsoft crap, I'm all or trying it...
when I have time to think (and get some sleep), I'll search and see what I can do... I'll have to clear space on my hard drive though as I only have about 3 GB left now cuz of movies I put on it...
my $o.o8 is that you should stick with XP/Office crap, you're used to it and it does work if you set it up clean.
linux will make your head hurt and it isn't easy to get everything done. it can be done, but you gotta be geek to do it.
Bake and print dollars.. that would be nice. Well, I don't have much of a comment to add, just saying hello, and I just noticed that you don't capitalize .. Hmm, yes, just I always thought you did. And all the sudden I saw you didn't. Oh I better stop this not-much-of-a-comment before it totally self-destructs.
he capitalizes I and that's the biggest capital offense of 'em All!
lol Candoor, I'm surprised you find any time to sleep between watching Enterprise, Heroes, Journeyman ans training nurses.
Sounds like you are caught in between worlds ... and burning the candle at both ends too.
Sounds like at last you are getting everything you wanted from your laptop, and then some
Glad you got all your ad-ons, it's nice to have XP but it does take up space. You are certainly more up to date than I am I'm still on Office 2003. Did you get Vista too
Hey Candoor,
why am I onlt getting three dots ... @ Serenity's Tide.
Did she hit the wrong button before going to bed, or has she gone on a hiatus
z - to get it to work now it must be paid for... they have a new thing in IE7 and XP updates that checks registration online and stops Office 2007 and Media Player and any other MS program from working if XP comes up invalid... so i can only stick with it if i uninstall everything and reinstall Office 2000 or maybe 2003 (but the next XP upgrade might invalidate that too)... it's some new stuff from Vista that they slip into XP when IE7 is uploaded... i'm not sure if it can be removed from a computer once it is installed without a complete reformat of the drive... i can not do that without an XP Pro disk that is not set to auto-validate and i don't have one...
I may be returning to Win98 and office 2000 very soon...
as for I... i agree, and appreciate the reminder... though I cringe a bit at the lower case i cuz it reminds me of wRiTiNg LiKe tHiS, but i am more comfortable with i (as i almost always write ric as opposed to Ric) and shall endeavor to break the habit cuz it feels better... after all, i don't type You, now do i? :)
p - yes, bake and print dollars... i really like your mind... and your comments :)
yeah, I seldom use caps, but it's not a conscious thing or some ethical statement, just habit and preference...
q - yeah, busy busy... if i can find a way to keep office 2007 i will... i am exploring alternatives now, or will as soon as i find time...
no vista, it is the devil's workshop, as is all microsoft products, especially before they come out with the fixes they call service packs...
i'm considering looking for a mac laptop next :)
dunno about s's blog, and late for work now, so i'll look later...
thank you for being here... each and every one of You :)
