yesterday is gone
I spent the night throwing Christians to the lions at dodinsky's friday discussion blog over at myspace (which seems to be spilling over into many days of the week and not giving people more than a day or two to actually discuss anything and I have no clue as to how to actually have a discussion in the myspace comments that do not thread or organize comments, but anyway, I was inspired to write there)...
I was intellectualizing, I think... the war of the sexes, or one of them, was the topic... more precisely, questions about gayness and the laws (and of course, religion jumped up to confuse the issue, so I jumped in and ranted and raved and asked questions every Homer Simpson wants to know... why does the separation of church and state not apply to the church?...
probably offended the lot of them, as from what I've seen the friday discussion blog group is largely Christian, so I didn't get much in the way of response and the one who did played semantic games and avoided the point (as most religious people tend to do in such discussions), but that was my point, after all, how most people use religion to avoid the point...
I wonder if he even realizes that he proved my point...
dodinsky, the moderator and fairly well known poet blogger at myspace, already posted another "friday discussion post", so I suppose it's done before it began... the brevity of attention spans in our country is scary...
anyway, I wrote enough for at least a half dozen long babbling entries and someday they'll find their way to the long sleeping behind the candoor and someday candora will reawaken too and the land of the mostly dead might actually be completed and we'll all go to Disneyworld...
I also wandered around and read you and commented a bit... feel free to call if you want to talk, I'd love to hear from you and do not think I have any plans for tomorrow... and that's what I did before finding the bed as the sun rose...
hope your weekend is going well :)

Oh, I would have been right there with you, I can promise you that.
Few things set me off more immediately. It sounds like you held your own very successfully. Nicely done.
By the way, what do you think about MySpace? Do you have a regular page, or just a blog? Can you have one OR the other? I had a MySpace page a long time ago, but I can't remember those specifics.
Hope you are having a great weekend, too! Just steer clear of those zealots. They're a scary bunch! :)
myspace is amusing... superficially, it's ego-food and eye candy and like a library of personal interests and creativity... kind of like high school :)
like anywhere online, if you spend time searching around, you can find meaningful words and inspiring art and internet friends...
you have to have a profile page cuz that's the starting site for anything else you want... you can leave your profile basic or do whatever you wish to it with editors... it's as simple as entering an email and then confirming the profile by clicking on the link in the email you receive...
the blog is just part of the profile, a click opens an edit box not too different from blogspot and you type words (or insert pictures) and there's your blog...
the profile is
www.myspace.com/username
the blog is
blog.myspace.com/username
I am over there because I am everywhere looking for interaction and I find more interaction at myspace than anywhere else (larger audience)...
you can be private there... nobody has to know you are there until you start sending friend requests or commenting on others blogs... you can keep profiles and comments to "friends only"...
exploring the music is one of the biggest draws for me, when I can get this old computer to play it :)
wanna know any more, just ask (call if it's easier and faster :)
thanks for the connection on the blog subject... I rarely write about politics, religion, or any social public topic these days... it bores me way too quickly and the drama can be annoying after the initial amusement wears off...
weekend was fun, as usual... more relaxing than it needed to be, but that's the couch potato world I live in these days in this space... suggesting or doing any activity is going against the grain... so i go to the gym and keep my eyes open for more active activity friends (and hope, always hope :)
at least I have babbling time :)
