and the excitement continues to build
yeah, so anyway, despite the timestamp on this entry, it's closing in on 4AM again and the excitement of searching for computer components all weekend (and therein putting systems together and playing with them in my mind) and listening to music on this old computer (cuz that's what the new computer would be about, largely, returning to music) has me wired...
all the delicious food I ate this weekend doesn't help as the body definitely has the excess energy to burn that makes my natural high all the higher... if only this body had the same metabolism as the brain, I'd never gain a pound...
yes, so anyway, I just may pop some entries out here or somewhere tonight as the word and idea bubbles are fozzing around my head and dancing in my eyes and being so lonesome and longing to share the moments isn't enough of a depressing additive to quell the inate excitement of being me alive and well...
and the music... The Lines, The Shins, Elton John (and his eclectic duets), Garbage, John Lennon, Plain White T's, Dia Frampton, The Cure, Lisa Loeb, Manchester Orchestra, Rilo Kiley, Sherwood, The Dresden Dolls, The Beatles, Snow Patrol, so many others (I wish I could put the current playlist online for you to browse through and play for yourselves... even a couple of hour-long mixes some people (complete strangers) put together and sent me because they read how much I love and miss music... someday, with the computer and the time...
from Mr. Jesus sung by an anonymous little girl to Squared by Graydon Square (serious atheist rap) to a poetry slam phone call labelled March 23 2007 to Blind Faith's Had to Cry Today to John Cale's Hallelujah to a raunchy song called Kitty Cat by Who Cares (that's a group, I presume, not a judgment) to Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars and Death Cab For Cutie's I'll Follow You Into The Dark...
and just as much as it can wake me and shake mne and get me aching and remind me of how weird and crazy life (and the people in it) can be, sometimes best music reminds me of just how sweet life can be when love is permited and empowered to prevail over all else...
I hope that happens to you...
often :)

if you miss me so much, make me a mix cd chockfoola mp3z so i hear it in lyrix & musix.
how many years have i axed you for that now?
show me da love if you can't show me da money!
yeah, that's why I am considering spendingh $2500-$3000 on a new computer system and software, just so I can make those mix CDs for you :)
when you catch up on my past zillion words, you'll see the system I am considering building... I'd appreciate the serious educated experienced knowledgeable opinion and review of your IT genius (and fellow geniuses) if you've got a bit of time to let me know if I am wasting my hard earned savings (which could bring my storage stuff down here, I suppose... or I could take a trip somewhere) just to be able to play on the computer more (my inner geek, gamer, and audio-videophiles are drooling)...
I've got much more love than money... too bad love can't build the better computer :)
I used to sleep, once...
are you a hardcore gamer, crunching videos all day long? whatchu need the faster processor and the phatest video card for dood?
just buy your 4Gb of RAM and 1 big hard drive (and a 2nd [can be] smaller one where you back up really important stuff from your 1st) and off you go.
i would NEVER spend more than $1500 on a desktop.
ps: my recommendation is you buy yourself a laptop. there's nothing like wifi-ing around the coffee shops in your travels. if you get lappy, make sure it has webcam embedded in the frame so you can videochat everywhere.
finally, buy from http://dell.com/refurbished - you still get support and it's cheaper. not worth saving $100 putting shit together yourself. those were the 90s man, now PCs are commodities, they break, you throw 'em away. no more cobblering.
like check out these laptops - i'd buy 09DK206B, then just get an external 5ooGB USB drive if you really find you need to store that much porn. $12ooK and you're instantly cool with the hip wifi coffee shops that overflow with myspace chicks.
just get something :)
p.s. I vote for the laptop too though
yeah, laptop has it's advantages, but it's tiny screen is it's biggest drawback and it won't do all the things I want it to do unless it's a really expensive one... still, I want one too :)
